The guaria morada is Costa Rica's national flower — a wild orchid that cannot be forced to bloom. It opens only in the right conditions, in its own time, and when it does, it is extraordinary. We named our school for this flower because it reflects what we believe about children.

Between 15 and 48 months, there is a window that never comes again. The brain is building connections at a rate it will never match — forming the architecture of thought, language, reasoning, and creativity. This is not a time to simply be minded. It is a time to be nurtured with intention.

Ms. Lili and the method

Guaria was founded by Ms. Lili — Lilliana Chacón, an educator with over 30 years of experience with young children. She built this program from a conviction: that these early years deserve more than care and play. They deserve a genuine education — warm, rigorous, and designed for who each child is becoming.
