Guaria MontessoriFull Spanish immersion. Real music instruments. The head start a normal daycare can't give you.
Guaria is a whole-child Montessori program in Newton where Spanish is the language of the classroom, not a once-a-week class — led by native speakers, alongside genuine instrument instruction, during the exact years a child's brain is wired to absorb both for life.
Book a tourAges 15–48 months: the real window for a second language
Between about 15 and 48 months, a child's brain can absorb a second language the same way it absorbed the first — implicitly, effortlessly, just by being immersed. Phonological patterns, grammar, intonation — the brain wires them in automatically during this period.
After this window narrows, learning a language shifts from natural absorption to deliberate study. A child who starts Spanish in elementary school is memorizing vocabulary and conjugation rules. A child immersed at two simply speaks it — the same way they speak English.
This is why starting at 15 months matters so much. It is not early enrichment. It is the biologically optimal time to build a bilingual brain, and it only comes once.

Led by native speakers
Guaria was founded by Lilliana "Ms. Lili" Chacón, an educator with more than 30 years in early childhood education. Born in Costa Rica and also a Spanish national, Ms. Lili brings a rich multicultural perspective to her work, along with a postgraduate in education and a deep conviction that the earliest years deserve the most thoughtful teaching.
Spanish at Guaria is not taught as a foreign language — it is the language of the classroom, spoken naturally and consistently by native speakers throughout the day. Children don't study Spanish. They grow up in it.
Still whole-child Montessori
Spanish immersion is one of four integrated pillars — not a language-only school, but a complete developmental program.
Personalized Montessori
Focus, independence, and self-direction, at each child's own pace.
Scientific Discovery
Methodical reasoning and the joy of curiosity through guided observation and real-world experiments.
Music
Real instruments, real instruction — not sing-alongs. A Berklee-trained educator teaches children to actually play.
